Colomí is a contemporary dance piece that explores the human, artistic, and ethical universe of Pau Casals.
Created to mark the 150th anniversary of his birth, the work goes beyond paying tribute to his legacy; it seeks to bring his values and vision into the present, inviting contemporary audiences to engage with their enduring relevance.
Synopsis
Through movement and Casals' own music, the piece journeys through different moments of his life, focusing on one of his most radical acts: silence as an expression of integrity and a stance against injustice. A silence that is not absence, but a profound form of resistance.
Colomí offers a contemporary reflection on the role of art and the artist in society, advocating for an engaged artistic practice that questions, moves, and inspires awareness. The piece invites audiences to reconnect with these values and to reflect on their own role in contemporary society.
