Four performers will defy gravity through the vertiginous effect of movement in the air, embodying the essence of the Catalan casteller tradition.
The performance takes audiences on a historical journey through vertical dance, exploring the origins of the ball de valencians and the muixeranga, all the way to the human towers, known as castells, that we know today.
Synopsis
Fargar is a vertical dance performance with live music that pays tribute to the Catalan human tower tradition and its origins.
Through movement, four performers defy gravity, transforming building façades into a stage where castells (human towers) take on a new dimension. A performance that blends contemporary dance, traditional music and popular culture, reinterpreting the values of strength, balance, courage and good judgment from a contemporary perspective.
